I was born and brought up in Baga, a small lovely village on the lap of 'Rarh' of Bengal, India. I enjoyed my childhood and school life there.I passed my secondary school examination from Baga High School and Higher Secondary School exam from Indpur Goenka High School. Later I moved to Bishnupur, the city of temples and the historic capital of the Mallabhum kingdom.Surrounded by old fortifications I lived there for three years for my B.Sc. in Physics (Hons).
After finishing my B.Sc. I managed to get an admission at I.I.T. Kharagpur for my M.Sc. degree in Physics.
Finally, I am here at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, NE ( there is no place like Nebraska!!! ). I have joined UNL in August 2005. Right now I am pursuing my Ph.D. on Ferroelectric-Ferromagnetic hetereostucture materials under the guidance of Dr. Shireen Adenwalla.
